Our summer program is designed to ignite joy and imagination through a perfect blend of outdoor exploration and studio-based activities.
Each morning is dedicated to outdoor adventures in the local parks, allowing children to connect with nature, explore their surroundings, and engage in both physical and creative activities. Whether it’s scavenger hunts, nature-inspired art, or energetic games, the outdoors become a canvas for endless possibilities. Please dress for the weather each day and ensure sunscreen is applied before coming to camp. In inclement weather (ie. thunderstorms, heavy rain, high winds, extreme heat), we will move to an indoor location. We may still venture outdoors in light rain.
Afternoons will be spent in the studio, engaged in creative art, sensory experiences, loose parts play, experiments and messy play. Each week, a special creative project will be offered along with free exploration of the studio environment. Please dress for mess and consider bringing a change of clothes for the trip home.
Our summer program embraces an Inquiry-Based Learning approach that recognizes the unique interests of each child. Our inquiry-based approach encourages children to explore topics, techniques, materials and environments that they are passionate about. This approach not only sparks curiosity but also nurtures a sense of autonomy and self-expression.
Recognizing the diverse needs of families, we offer both full and half-day options for our summer program. This is a drop off camp. Each day, please pack a water bottle, nut-free lunch(full day only) and sunscreen to re-apply if needed. Nut-free snacks will be provided by the facilitators throughout the day. Each Friday will include a pizza lunch! Comfortable, safe footwear appropriate for walking outdoors is necessary.
Parents/guardians will receive additional forms via email to complete and return prior to their child(ren)’s start date, including Anaphylaxis Plans for children requiring epi-pens and life saving medications.

Outdoor program in Broadlands Park
Our morning summer program will give our younger explorers the chance to enjoy time creating, playing, discovering and investigating in nature. Our small group of 8 children with 2 staff allows for lots of individual attention.
Hosted in Broadlands Park, this program will combine play time in the new playground with sensory play, art experiences and exploring nature in our surroundings. The program will run rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. We will have a tented area available on rainy days when needed. In cases of extreme weather (ie. thunderstorms, high winds) we may move the program to the studio and share the space with our regular summer camp. Parents/guardians will receive notification of any change in location early in the morning.
Please make sure children are wearing sunscreen when they arrive. Please bring a labelled water bottle, comfortable shoes and a full change of clothes each day. We will have nut-free snacks available, but families are also welcome to bring their own nut-free snacks if they prefer. For children who are not completely toilet trained, please pack all diapering supplies needed. There is a washroom at the Broadlands Community Centre beside the park that we can use when needed.
Registration forms will be sent to all families closer to the start of the program. These need to be completed and returned on the first day that your child attends. Children with epi-pens will need to have them at all times and additional forms will need to be completed. Drop off and pick up will be at the park each day, unless otherwise notified. Upon arrival, families will also receive a phone number where staff can be reached during the program.
