At the Art of Play Studio, our experienced RECEs have designed creative workshops for children that will enhance school and childcare programs and curriculum. Each 1.5 -2 hour workshop will include free play, exploration and experimenting in the studio. Keeping in line with our philosophy, all creative art experiences will be focused on the process of creating/exploration of materials and not on an end product. Workshop materials and experiences will be customized and appropriate for the age group participating. We strive to offer experiences that children may not be able to have anywhere else. We know that it can be difficult to do some of these things in other environments. Our studio is designed with this in mind! Hands-on experimenting, sensory experiences, action art and messy play are embraced and encouraged, so make sure that everyone is dressed for mess during your visit! Each group will also create a collaborative canvas that they can take back to their program. Children may also take home anything that they create.
Child cares and schools are responsible for maintaining their ratios and overall supervision of their children while in the studio. Art of Play Studio staff will be facilitating each workshop, but cannot be counted in ratios. There is a maximum of 30 children for any of our workshops. Water bottles are welcomed. Pizza lunch options are now available!
Workshops can be booked on Friday mornings during the school year. Other days may be available depending on our schedule. In the summer months (July and August), workshops can be booked on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings.
